TaskConchel tools

Better handoffs. Safer access.

A practical toolkit for customers and assistants: share account access, provide context, schedule work, and review results.

Secure password sharing with Bitwarden Send

Free text sharing through an independent, encrypted service. Customers create a Bitwarden account; assistants do not need an account to open a Send. TaskConchel stores the access link encrypted and limits disclosure to the task customer, current assigned assistant, and authorized managers/admins.

For customers

  1. Where supported, invite a separate user to the website with only the permissions needed for your task. Ask your manager to coordinate the invitation.
  2. If a shared login is necessary, open Bitwarden and select Send → New Send → Text. Enter the website address, username, and password inside Bitwarden.
  3. Set an expiration/deletion date covering the task and a small maximum access count. Allow enough opens for the assigned assistant to finish; a single view can be consumed before work is complete.
  4. Copy the complete Send link, including everything after #. Submit your task, then paste it into Secure account access on the task page.
  5. Keep two-factor authentication enabled. Coordinate any sign-in approval through the task; do not share recovery codes or your password-manager master password.
  6. After the work is finished, delete or deactivate the Send in Bitwarden and revoke the website invitation or change the shared password.

For assistants

  1. Open the assigned task and its Secure account access panel.
  2. Select Reveal access link, then Open Bitwarden Send. TaskConchel records disclosure; opening the provider link may use one of its allowed views.
  3. Use the login only for the requested task. Never forward the link or save the password in your personal vault, notes, browser, or screenshots.
  4. If access expires, sign-in needs approval, or the assistant is reassigned, ask the customer/manager to coordinate fresh access. Do not bypass account protections.
  5. Sign out of the destination website when the task ends. Do not include passwords in deliverables.

Customers do not need to know the assistant's identity to use the task access panel.

Treat the Send link itself as sensitive. Anyone who obtains it may be able to open it until its provider limits are reached. Removing the link from TaskConchel does not delete the Send or erase a password already viewed. Bitwarden controls its encryption, expiry, and access count; TaskConchel cannot verify those settings or reset destination-site passwords. This is a third-party workflow, not a TaskConchel-managed password vault.

Portal tools follow your role and plan permissions. Customers and assistants can find Tools in their navigation and profile.

Getting started

Customers: complete your profile, choose your plan, submit a task with a clear outcome, add supporting files or links, and add secure access only if a login is needed. Watch task messages for questions and review the final deliverable.

Assistants: complete your onboarding requirements, review the secure-access instructions above, and open only tasks assigned to you. Your Tools page is a reference guide; it does not replace required onboarding actions.

Secure access FAQ

Is password sharing free?

Bitwarden Send supports text sharing on its free plan. File Sends and some additional controls may require a paid plan. You do not need to purchase a five-person team vault for this workflow.

Can all five assistants see my login?

No. TaskConchel reveals a task access link only to its customer, the current assigned assistant, and authorized managers/admins. Other assistants, collaborators, and support agents cannot reveal it through this panel.

Can I put the password in a task message?

Please do not. Keep passwords inside Bitwarden Send and use the dedicated Secure account access panel for its link.

What if the link expires or the assistant changes?

Create a replacement Send and add it to the task. Delete the old Send in Bitwarden; if someone already viewed the password, change it on the destination website.

Does TaskConchel create a Bitwarden account for me?

No. You create and control your own free account. TaskConchel never asks for your Bitwarden master password or imports your vault.

What happens when I remove access?

Removing an entry prevents future reveals through TaskConchel. You must also deactivate/delete the Send in Bitwarden and revoke the website invitation or change the shared password.
